A New Season

“See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.” (Song of Solomon 2:11-12)

I know it can be a bit sketchy when the post starts with a quote from Song of Solomon.

“Where is this post going to go? I thought it was a family friendly blog? Should I let the kids read this?”

Yes. Yes. Yes. No worries, it is safe here.

The calendar now says it is Spring. I am sure many of you are like me and want to put away the parkas, peacoats and snow gear. So long fleece, hello shorts. Goodbye sweaters, hello short sleeves.

As the flowers begin to bloom, consider what new life God wants to bring about in you.

As the Spring rains come to nourish the earth, ponder the mercy and grace that God showers on us.

As the temperatures warm, may God light a fire in us to serve Him more fully in this coming season.

Enjoy.
